Biotechnology
The Biotechnology major or honours program is an interdisciplinary program involving Chemistry, Biochemistry and Microbiology. It also gives the students the opportunity to do a minor in a related field in another faculty.
Biotechnology students can select one of three highly relevant streams:
New courses have been developed that address the business of biotechnology, bioinfomatics and biosystems engineering. Other new courses are under development, including a laboratory-focused cell culturing techniques course.
Students are encouraged to select elective courses to satisfy the requirements for relevant Minors, to enhance the interdisciplinary nature of the biotechnology field.

- Molecular Biotechnology
